In Focus - Regular Rugby Partners 🎥🏉
/We’ve been working with a few rugby clubs this 2018/19 season on a regular basis. Capturing the likes of Twickenham, Manchester, Bowdon, Southport and Anselmians and helping them in their pursuit of a victorious season!
We’ve had a quick catch up with them just past the mid-way mark in the season and how they’re getting on:
League: London 2 South West
Current League Standing: 4th (Out of 12)
2018/19 Record: 9W; 1D; 4L
Biggest League Win: 63-15 vs Effingham & Leatherhead (05.01.19)
Another season with a name synonymous with rugby! It’s been great to cover another season with Twickenham after a successful season last year.
Games of note: The one point win against Old Tonbrigians after a draw earlier in the season is worth a mention alongside the thumping of Effingham & Leatherhead.
League: North One West
Current League Standing: 9th (Out of 14)
2018/19 Record: 8W; 0D; 8L
Biggest League Win: 87-39 vs Penrith (05.01.19)
One of our local clubs! Former National One participates and one of the oldest clubs in the world, Manchester has great pedigree! Ben Spencer, current Saracen’s scrum-half, played in the youth teams.
Games of note: A win against local rivals Burnage was a sweet one, with a second game to come against other rivals Stockport one to look out for.
League: Lancs/Cheshire Division 1
Current League Standing: 2nd (Out of 13)
2018/19 Record: 13W; 1D; 2L
Biggest League Win: 74-16 vs Leigh (03.11.18) -
This is our first full season with Bowdon after covering sporadic games for them previously. We’re covering both home and away fixtures in their quest to top the Lancs/Cheshire top tier.
Games of note: A 6-6 draw with top side Altrincham Kersal has kept things interesting!
League: Lancs/Cheshire Division 1
Current League Standing: 8th (Out of 13)
2018/19 Record: 6W; 0D; 10L
Biggest League Win: 45-12 vs Winnington Park (13.10.18)
Southport are a club we’ve been with for a few years now. On the Lancashire coast, always a good trip!
Games of note: The first win of the season came at neighbours Sefton’s expense and a point’s loss to league leaders Altrincham Kersal showed positive signs.
League: North One West (Live Stream Game here)
Current League Standing: 13th (Out of 14)
2018/19 Record: 2W; 0D; 14L
Biggest League Win: 19-13 vs De La Salle (Salford) (27.10.18)
The club originated from St Anselm’s College, Birkenhead who we’ve filmed for this year! A club we’ve done work with before and hope to help the fight to stay up!
Games of note: Two victories in consecutive weeks had provided hope with one against bottom club De La Salle, but no victories since then means an upward struggle this season.
