FilmMyMatch is the largest provider of grassroots sports filming in the UK, having worked with over 3000 grassroots sports organisations over the last 5 years. The company will provide Coach Logic with access to its network of trained, DBS-checked camera operatives throughout England, Scotland and Ireland using 25ft camera mast systems to provide high quality, elevated footage at any venue.

This footage will complement and enhance Coach Logic’s pioneering cloud-based software platform which allows users to share video moments to review, analyse and improve team performance.

“It was a no brainer,” said Coach Logic COO Mark Cairns. “FilmMyMatch and ourselves share the same passion for sport and an absolute belief in the power of video to improve individual and team performance.

“FilmMyMatch were already working with schools and teams who did not have the software to effectively analyse their video footage, and the organisations we work with need high quality video footage to enable coaches to maximise the capabilities of the Coach Logic platform and get the best out of their teams. We are very excited about the potential of the partnership.”

Dave Roe, Director at FilmMyMatch said the opportunity to partner Coach Logic was a great opportunity for both brands. “Coach Logic is already working in markets we want to explore further, and it seemed a really natural fit.  Video is indisputable evidence of performance -  whether good or bad - and the perfect performance improvement tool for both players and coaches.  We are delighted to be adding a new dimension to that tool within Coach Logic’s platform.”

A recent study into Coach Logic and Athlete Learning led by the University of Worcester looked at the impact of video analysis on learning within team sports. They concluded that it had an important place in contemporary coaching practice, improving player learning and also having a positive effect on team culture and cohesion.

Ally Donaldson at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh commented:

“The biggest impact Coach Logic has had on our team is enabling the pupils to work hard in their own time and take more responsibility for their personal development. The accessibility of Coach Logic is fantastic. Our players watch a lot more game footage than ever before. I am now able to question players about decision making and tactics and this definitely improves their understanding of the game.”

Phil Gooderham, Director of Hockey at the University of Birmingham agreed on the value to pupils. He said:

"Coach Logic has been a tremendous asset. They are so supportive, I like that Andy and Mark understand what we are trying to achieve and they will always work with us to get there. They have definitely created Coach Logic to really benefit hockey over the years and they have created a hugely important coaching tool."
